Crypto, Dividends, and My First Taste of Compound Growth

by Henrik Bacilieri

If you had asked me a year ago what “compound growth” meant, I probably would’ve guessed it had something to do with fancy math or real estate.

Now, I’m living it—in small but very real ways.

💡 The Idea That Changed Me

Here’s the simplest version of compound growth:

You earn money from your money—and then that money earns more money.

And over time, even small gains can snowball into something massive.
But here's the catch:
It doesn't feel like anything at first.

It feels boring. Slow.
Unimpressive, even.

Until one day, it doesn’t.

💵 Dividends: Small But Powerful

This month I earned $6.74 in dividends from a few stocks and ETFs I’ve been slowly building.

Six dollars doesn’t change your life.
But it changed my mindset.

Because that money came in while I was sleeping.
While I was walking. While I was reading.

No extra hours. No extra work.
Just a simple system that rewarded my discipline.

And that dividend? It didn’t go to Starbucks.
I reinvested it.
Now that $6.74 is working too.

That’s compound growth—seed by seed.

🪙 Dipping into Crypto (With Caution)

On the crypto side, I’ve been cautiously DCA’ing (dollar-cost averaging) into Bitcoin and Ethereum since January.

Tiny amounts.
$20 here. $40 there.
No chasing pumps. No wild bets.

And guess what?

Ethereum moved. Just a little.
And suddenly, my $150 is now $186.

I didn’t sell. I’m not planning to anytime soon.

But it was the first time I saw the power of:

  • Patience

  • Timing

  • And understanding an emerging space before the crowd wakes up

Crypto still feels wild. Volatile. Early.
But my curiosity grows every week.

I’m watching ETH’s development closely. Something’s brewing there.

🧠 Lessons from These Tiny Wins

What these last few months have shown me is this:

Wealth doesn’t arrive in big bags.
It builds, quietly, over time.

You won’t feel rich the first time a stock pays you $2.
Or when your ETH position grows by 18 bucks.

But those are the sparks.
And if you respect those sparks, they can become fire.

📈 My Focus Moving Forward

I’m doubling down on:

  • Dividend-paying stocks that I understand and trust

  • Crypto research, especially platforms with real use cases

  • Long-term patience, not short-term hype

  • Automating reinvestment, even when it feels “too small to matter”

Because the truth is—it always matters.

Every dollar you keep working is a future hour you don’t have to.

🛤️ I’m Starting to See It Now

This journey is slow.
But it’s finally starting to click.

Wealth isn’t about big plays.
It’s about stacking small, intentional moves over and over and over again.

This month didn’t make me rich.
But it made me believe.

And that belief? That’s where everything starts.
