Sorry for the Silence — Life’s Been Loud

by Henrik Bacilieri

First off, if you’ve been following this blog for a while:
I owe you an apology.

This space was never meant to go quiet.
When I started writing here, it was my promise to document the journey—openly, honestly, and consistently.

But somewhere between onboarding new clients, managing growing portfolios, losing someone I loved, and just trying to keep my feet under me… this blog slipped to the background.

And I’m not proud of that.
But I want to talk about it.

📈 When the Work Becomes Real

When I first started writing in 2015, everything felt like a discovery.
Every lesson was new. Every mistake felt like a bruise I needed to write through.

But in 2017, the game changed.

This year brought my first 7-figure total portfolio under management.
It brought a significant jump in responsibility—handling more than just numbers, but people’s trust, emotions, and futures.

It’s hard to explain how different the pressure feels when you're not just “learning finance”… but you are the financial advisor.

There were days I couldn’t answer every email in time.
Nights I fell asleep at my desk.
And moments where I questioned whether I was still becoming… or already in it.

🧠 The Internal Battle

I’ll be honest: part of the reason I stopped writing here wasn’t just time. It was fear.

I felt like maybe I was no longer in the “humble beginnings” phase.
Maybe it felt less relatable to talk about portfolio growth and crypto plays when I was no longer scraping for every client.

But then I realized something important:

Growth doesn't make the story less valuable—if anything, it makes it more real.

Because navigating growth well is its own lesson.
Because staying grounded while leveling up is harder than it looks.
And because there’s someone out there watching their life change fast, and they don’t know how to keep their footing either.

That’s who I’m writing for now.

🧭 What’s Ahead for This Blog

I’m back to writing. For real this time.
Not just updates, but full reflections.
Breakdowns of what’s working. Mistakes I’ve made. How I’m handling the wealth, the workload, and the why behind it all.

You’ll see more about:

  • My crypto portfolio and where it stands

  • Ongoing real estate research and first steps

  • Client stories (anonymized, of course)

  • Personal finance insights from the other side of early success

  • And most importantly—what this journey is still teaching me

🙏 Thank You

If you’re still here, still reading, still rooting for me—thank you.

This space has always been more than a blog.
It’s been my mirror. My therapist. My proof that growth is possible if you just keep showing up.

And that’s exactly what I plan to do.
